Items needed: Vintage Tea Towel & a Shabby Frame.
For this simple yet stylish piece I simply purchased a vintage tea towel (try EBay or here) and an old gilt style shabby frame . I removed and discarded the glass and painted the frame white. Using the old back mounting plate I placed the ironed tea towel inside the frame and put it all back together. What's great? You can change it anytime to suit your decor or your mood. Anyone can create this look. Its easy, fun and it gets lots of comments at dinner parties. Everyone loves it ! Have a great weekend and I will talk to you all next week.

Hello Simone
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my store blog. Your blog is beautiful! I will check in as often as I can. This framed towel is great! I see them all the time in our thrift stores and I will now be looking for one with a birdcage!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. What a lovely idea. Denise
ReplyDeleteHi Simone, I'm so glad you've started a blog. I remember your feature on Anna's ABT. The vintage children's swimmers you framed for your daughters' room was my inspiration behind my own daughters room: I found a beautifully embroidered vintage mexican dress I've had framed.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to following more of your posts. Have a lovely easter.

Hi Simone
ReplyDeleteI am loving your blog, just found it today and have spent the past hour going over all of your posts.
Could you tell me where you got this frame from or where I can get a similar one.
Thanks I look forward to being a regular here.
Renata
Hi Renata, I couldnt get to you through your profile so I am hoping you come back to this post so as I can answer the question. I found this frame on Ebay with a tapestry inside. So I stripped it out and painted it white. There was no glass which was fine. Many thanks again - Simone
