A Green Thank-You

On another trail through some vintage shops I found this green polka dot jug for $8. I had previously sighted it 2 weeks before but left it there as it had a small chip on the lip. But on my return it was still there - and I just had to take it home. I added some fresh flowers this morning from my garden. The reason? I wanted to say "Thank-you" for stopping by today. Thank-you for commenting on my blog and thank-you for all your suggestions on yesterdays post. What are you thankful for today?

I think the chip in the pitcher only makes it more endearing!
    Beautiful flowers.
But I think it is we who should be thanking you for sharing all your wonderful ideas! Really, such an inspiration!

  3. What am I thankful for? I'm thankful for all the lovely people like yourself in the world who share their talents and vision with us all through your Blogs! I'm thankful for health and for this lovely chilly day in Sydney. Good writing weather! Such a sweet vase! Sometimes the chips and cracks make them, don't they? Gives them their character just like us! x

I'm thankful for being alive, for the sun shining today and for my beautiful family. And on a more materialistic note, i'm SSSSOOOOO thankful for having a gorgeous home. Is that horrible to say??

  5. What a lovely jug and perfect for your pretty flowers. Funny you should ask what I'm thankful for...I've had the last 5 days off to do what ever I pleased and I had a lot of quiet time and I was reflecting on how thankful and grateful I am for my life and all the wonderful people I share it with!

  12. Really cute pot. And you are welcome. I love to come here! I'm thankful for a lot of things every single day..., top three being my husband, that I live in a private home with water view (no noise from neighbors) and that I can get up in the morning whenever I want to.

  13. I am thankful for the sizzling hot summer that has just arrived to Cali by surprise. And for the drive up the coast for a cool off, and a tour of the local landscapers and shops and restaurants and people of all the old little beach town of Summerland, that we weaved in and out of so leisurely on such short time.

  28. How funny you should ask. I JUST finished writing in my Gratitude Journal (yesterday's post) ... and I wrote how thankful I am for making a new blog friend. I stumbled on her blog a month or so ago and immediately sent her an email. I told her that her work is simply out-of-this-world-beautiful and how much I admired it. We have emailed back and forth a few times. One time I told her that I planned on starting at the inception of her blog and devour every word and every photo and every piece of her work. I took the time to send her an email commenting on several of the things that really stuck out in my mind. She emailed me back stating that she feels that God blesses her with the gift to create and what good is that gift if she cannot bless others with it. Yesterday I received in the mail the most beautiful hand-made book in the world. For this I am thankful - not only today but I will be thankful for this gift every time I look at the book. Thank you, Nettie, from the bottom of my heart!
