Project Day: Postcard Memory Board

Recently a friend of mine returned from a vacation in Paris. She had all these postcards and wanted them arranged somehow to remember her fabulous trip. So I made her a memory board which she had framed. All I did was buy a piece of rectangle foam board ( Lincraft ) and a piece of pink pin striped fabric the same size. Using spray adhesive I glued the fabric to the board tucking the top and sides under. Then I glued the postcards randomly over the covered board (again using spray adhesive). Once it was all dry it was off to the framers to get finished, but you could frame it yourself if you wanted to. I think it's a great idea and a great way to have your memories on display. Have a fabulous weekend and I will be back next week. Simone xx

  2. I love it! I actually hadn't heard of spray adhesive before so this was a great tip and post for me. I've had so many wonderful trips that it would be hard to get them all on one board however! Thanks for this post Simone.

  8. BRILLIANT! One could even collect postcards from trips over a period of time and put this together down the road to capture all those experiences. A beautiful idea you put together gorgeously!

  21. Hi Simone, I love this idea too. It's fun sometimes to also incorporate all those things we keep from our trips but don't know what to do with, and lets face it are too sentimental to throw away, such as old travel tickets, menus, maps etc into these aswell. Your friend is very lucky pity you couldn't have stowed away in her suitcase.. cheers Katherine
