Couldn't resist this cute vintage money box at my local thrift store. How could I say no to those eyes. I am trying to teach my daughter how to save money so this is a good start. It's much prettier than the plastic ones the banks give out don't you think?
Wayyyyyyyy cuter! Every one needs a piggy bank!
ReplyDeleteThat is too darn cute!!!!
m ^..^
What a little darling he is!
ReplyDeleteI think I had one of these growing up!!

How adorable, I couldn't say no to those eyes either!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable! We also have a big pig and every time my daughter is good or keeps her plaits in at presschool she gets a 1.00 for her own spending. I can assure you I'm in no danger of going broke from our pig! Thank you Simone for your lovely comment on my writing. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is how I saved as a child. My littly piggy didn't have such convincing blue eyes though.
ReplyDeleteVery cute indeed!
ReplyDeleteOh Nice!! I had a smile reading your post.. I picked up a very similar but extremely colourful one for my 6 year old daughter last week... in the attempt of teaching her to save some money.

ReplyDeletei love it! those eyes are so delightful. I used to have a piggy bank as a kid and I remember feeling so important everytime I contributed to my fortune. I hope your daughter enjoys hers.
ReplyDeleteOkay...I have to ask you how much you spent on miss piggy?? Reason?? I went to the Mexican Market this week to get shrimp and they had the exact piggy banks, yes banks, for 1 US Dollar!!! I considered getting one, but little man was so freaked out by the live fish in the seafood section, so we had to leave! we are in-land people! Let me know if you want more!!! ;)KIM
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable! Glad he has found a good home!
ReplyDeleteLovely piggy who wouldnt enjoy putting money in her!!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely adorable!!! We have a rule, for every dollar my son gets (from any source) he puts $0.50 in savings and $0.25 in his piggy bank to save for something specific, and $0.25 he can spend.
ReplyDeleteI hope it takes root in his brain!
