  1. I love these pictures. I haven't been to a beach in years. I use to go to the beach in Biloxi, Mississippi before Katrina happened. We are planning to go this week-end to Gulfport. My daughter went last week-end and took some photos. It made me want to go. I can't wait to walk the shoreline at night.

  2. First, congratulations, Simone! So glad you started blogging! This is one of the first places I look to each day to see if anything new has been posted!

And I'm lucky enough to live near a beach so we go quite often and I love the feel of sand underfoot! I love the soft, hot sand upbeach, and I love the soft, mucky feel too near the water's edge, and of course wading right in the water with the waves lapping my feet is Heavenly!
    Beautiful pictures!
    All the best,
    Eileen

  3. We usually make it to the beach every year (some beach, any beach), but can't this year. Booo hiss!!!! It's killing me.

I always say that I think the stork dropped me off in the wrong place, because I'm definitely a beach girl all the way.

  11. Hi Simone, Those photos are fantastic. I have heard it said that you never need a pedicure if you live near the beach as you just have to go for a stroll and voila instant pedicure by nature. I love the smells of the ocean to and the salty taste on your lips, cheers Katherine

  20. Beautiful photos - so peaceful looking. The last time my toes were in the sand was when I went to Gibraltar in June...the sea was so refreshing and cool, I could have stayed in there forever and turned into a mermaid...

  26. Love this blog! Just found it.
One week ago today I was on vacation on Sanibel Island, FL. It had been 5 years since I was there last and forgotten how warm the water was and how soft the sand was down there. It felt like I was walking on powder. Here in New England, the beaches are grainy and the water is cold even on a hot day. But it's still a day at the beach, so I wouldn't even think of complaining about it. The beach is the place I find the most comforting and most peaceful. I'm at my best when by the shore.

  28. Hi Simone!
COngratulations for hitting the 100th post! I thoroughly enjoy all of your posts. Especially when you share views of your part of the world. Your photographs reflect your artistic side. Today's photo of the footprints in the sand was wonderful...I actually felt the squishing of the cool, damp sand between my toes.

I am heading for my favorite beach tomorrow...St Augustine (Crescent Beach) FL. This will be the first time I have been there with my sister. I am looking forward to sharing it with her.

    Have a fabulous weekend...

  29. Hi Simone,
I'm a bit late to the party but congrats on your 100th post. Thank you for the beautiful beach photos of the place I grew up, spent many summers on the beaches at Bicheno and Coles Bay, they made me want to jump on a plane!
    Cheers
