As I have said before. I love the small town op shops. They are one of the few places left where you can find a genuine vintage bargain. Yesterday I did the local op shop crawl. 3 church shops in a little town called Maclean (NSW, Australia). Here are a few things I picked up. My favourite buy? My vintage typewriter. Tomorrow I will be doing some interior styling (on a budget of course) in my caravan, hope you can join me.

Oh, your typewriter is a great find!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm crazy for anything hand-made! I think my favorite would have to be the crocheted doily or the embroidery!
All wonderful treasures though!
All the best,
Eileen

Looks like you are enjoying your time at Brooms Head, lovely time of year to be getting away and enjoying the beach.
ReplyDeleteWe were there last weekend as soon as I step foot on the coast it was feels like someone's pulled the plug on city frenzy.
Yes, I've been to MacLean. We camped nearby at Yuragir National Park for 4 days. Pretty town and pretty place. And the typewriter's my favourite buy too. Well done.
ReplyDeleteHi there, such sweet buys!I never forget my 8yr old son spending his whole £5.00 holiday money @ a village summer fete on holiday in Wales on a old type writter and being inspired to write stories! Awful spellings but he loved writing his first book!! Happy Thursday! Sharon xxxoooo

Love all your finds...that typewriter is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow I have just been to little op shop in Caloundra. I think there are something like 20 op shops there but there is a particular one that is so wonderfully cheap. I of course almost did a little dance it was so exciting and I got plenty of bargains. Unfortunately I have managed to lose my trusty camera so I will have to be patient but one day I am going to get back on the blogging wagon.
ReplyDeleteok, that typewriter is the find of the trip, wow! x
ReplyDeleteLove these pics and also loving what you did with your caravan.
ReplyDeleteI'm in agreement with the op shops in little townships. In the bigger cities I'm always on the look out for ones either operated by smaller community groups or running out the back of a church building as you will still often find little treasures there.
Hope you had a fab time at the beach :)
Lou
