For Your Eyes Only.....My Bedroom

*my bedroom*
There is only one thing I have wanted to change about our main bedroom since we moved into our home a few years ago. The bathroom. I am always complaining about it to my husband. And he has finally agreed with me. We are getting a renovation of it in the New Year. Yipee! Now I have to get started on designing it. It's a terribly small space. But I have been gathering ideas. It's back to my tear sheet scrapbooks again.

  6. We are also extending and renovating and I've made designing the ensuite area my responsibility also. It is such an important room where us women spend much more time than our male partners!!!
I'm sure your new bathroom will be stunning.

  9. Simone I have a friend that has a very similiar home (loft style). Do you have a balcony off your bedroom? Reason I ask is that her husband converted the window into french doors and made a gorgeous balancy off the master bedroom. Just big enough for a table & chairs and makes the whole room appear larger when the doors are open.
Now to the bathroom. I would have a shower without a door as they appear larger and definetly a pedastool vanity. Oh I bet your going crazy with ideas. Sandy

  19. Hi Simone, How lucky are you! I think it is a charming style, off the bedroom like that. Reminds me of old 1940's or ealier flats or beach rentals where the room included bathroom/ kitchen all in one..if you know what I mean. So with vintage touches like an old white iron pedestal basin and a great floor could be a real vintage inspired nook. Act fast before he changes his mind..haha.. Ps the lovely Sue says hello, cheers Katherine

  20. HI Simone
Your bedroom is charming. Granted I prefer a bit more privacy around the bathroom area but the slanted ceiling does remind me of those gorgeous attic rooms we all love so much.

I'm sure whatever you do will be both beautiful and inventive!! Have fun planning it all. xx Julie

  40. I just renovated mine and oh what an improvement in my life!(See pics on my blog)
I love your bedding and I don't mind that your bathroom is part of your bedroom. I would put a nice screen around the toilet part to give me some privacy. I love your chest and the mirror, I am just not sure if I would put them together. The mirror has sort of stronger personality and in my opinion takes away from the simply beauty that the chest has to offer.
Renovation is fun! Enjoy it! Can't wait to see the final results...
