Step 1: Pick some flowers.
Step 2: Smell them [up real close].
Step 3: Put them in some quirky vases around the place.
Today I am begging you to stop and smell the roses.
Life is too short to pass by such pretty things.

hi Simone..
ReplyDeleteYour roses are EXQUISITE!
How I WOULD love to be smelling roses..
However, today has been gray and SNOWY..
not even a bud on the trees,
nor any green shoots poking through the snow..
In fact, I did stop to smell Roses..
at the grocery store when I went out for milk..
and they had no smell at all!!!
Am so ready for Spring..
warmest hugs..
laughing smiles..
Loui♥
I love it....I spent the whole day with my 91 year old Mom....I took her daffodils in bud, it is the anniversary of my fathers death and he loved daffodils...flowers bring us love and memories of love.
ReplyDeleteI will ... once I've finished deadheading them! Gorgeous photos. Leigh
ReplyDeleteYou are a flower nut! I love that. I will be posting spring in my neighborhood soon. I am so sore, we worked in the yard all day today. Drinking wine now. Good for sore muscles I hear.

ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! I especially love that second picture with the roses grasped in a bunch by a sweet hand....reminds me of my kidlets picking these sweet little blue flowers (and dandilions before they seed) from the back yard and bringing them to me in that same sweet grasp! Hope your week is off to a fantastic start! :>
ReplyDeleteHi Simone!
ReplyDeleteNice post, and love roses!!!
Marce
What a great post Simone....just what I needed to read today.
ReplyDeleteThe pink of those roses is so pretty....love the photo of your daughter too, how lovely.
Have a great week :)
I promise to do just that as soon as my rose bush blooms. In the meantime I will admire the tiny daffodils that popped up in my yard!
ReplyDeletethe second picture is beautiful.
ReplyDeletethese are lovely.
Yes. I walk around the block.
ReplyDeleteI spy the beauties in the neighborhood.
I lean over, and breathe in, comparing notes of one to another. The lighter are usually more generous in scent than the darker. The Double Delights are the boldest and brightest.
Still, I find that I need to touch and feel the soft silk velvet petals.
Thanks for the reminder.
mmm..that's exactly what i want to do. stop and smell the roses. :)
ReplyDeletenice!
ReplyDeleteAmen Simone! I always stop and smell the roses, and all the pretty flowers that catch my eye.

Simone,
ReplyDeleteI have a set of three pots with flowers... I must you show you this photo, me too.
there's nothing better than the scent of roses...i can't wait to have rose bushes in my garden...one day:) i always loved my nan's because they had rose bushes. luckily the house across the road has bushes down it's fence and i walk beside them coming back from dropping my kids at the school bus. i remember spring when i walked to the railway station, just taking in the freshness and smells and buzzing. and i just love that about photography, it makes you stop and look, and think!
ReplyDeleteI love these little cups with beautiful flowers !
