~ Why are some of us Born Artists ~

Gee I wish I could paint pictures like the talented Sara Tetley. Can you imagine having these beauties hanging on your wall? Don't you just love the colours and shades. I would never be able to decide which one I love most.

  17. I think we are all artists in our own way but sadly, we get told we're not in come cases! If you feel the urge to paint or draw, Simone, then get a lovely sketching pad and some crayons or pencils and see what you come up with! xx

  18. Because if we were all born artists, there would be no one to buy our artist stuff! Spoken like a true non artist!

  19. I definitely wish I could draw and paint. My talents and your talents just lie in different areas than Sara's. Still, it would be nice to have HER talent! I couldn't decide and would have to have all 3!

  25. Really pretty - but anyone can be an artist I think - everyone has different tastes. You just need to not be afraid to try and experiment!

  26. I've often wondered the same thing! I can't even draw a stick figure. A lot of my friends tell me I have an eye for decorating though and that makes me feel better; but then I look at what other bloggers are able to do and I think "wow, I don't even come close to what some people are capable of doing!" Have a great trip to New Zealand!(that is where your going, isn't it?)

  35. we all have creative potential, though I do believe that some are born with the inherent hand -eye coordination known as artistic talent that enables them to draw and paint what they see. Though this talent can be improved upon, it has to be there in the first place. Some have more of it than others, but one cannot just pull it out of thin air.

Creativity and artistic talent are two separate things. One can have the ability but not the creative urge to churn it out. I am an artist in a big family where there are a few other artists, but probably no more than in most families. My mother could not draw a stick figure if her life depended on it, but year after year she creates beautiful gardens, works of art in their own right...so, it isn't just drawing ability that we use to create...your home is like your canvas, not everyone can create a beautiful atmosphere in their house...even with lots of money to pay a decorator! It takes a special touch, especially with the eclectic mix of vintage items - some have it, some don't!
