~ Imagine & Then Do It ~

I have been working on a few things lately. As if I need more to do! You see sometimes, in the middle of the night, I wake up and can't get back to sleep. I think about things. Creative things. And lately I have been thinking about starting my own range of soaps and candles - under the Beach Vintage label. So I started doing some research, and some more research. And now they are being made. In Australia, by Australians [ I am a little patriotic]. You see I truly believe that if you can imagine something, see it in your mind, the finished object or desire, you can do it. But it all starts with that first thought [and what you do with it]. I hope you have these thoughts. And I hope you work towards making them real.

  2. Oh Simone - what a great inspirational post. Its amazing what you can achieve when you have a dream and act upon it with such determination. You have certainly inspired me (and I'm sure alot of other people too!). I wish you all the best in your new endeavours, and I can't wait for your shop to open so I can plan a little trip to Brissie! I love the wrapping on your soap too - and its great that it is Aussie all the way! Have a wonderful day :)

  3. I live by that motto myself Simone...I wanted to start a non profit - so I did the research and stayed up way into the night planning - and 4 years later it's going better than I ever imagined! xxoo :)

  8. Great idea Simone and may I say the packaging is superb, it caught my eye right away!
You sound like you might have seen "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. I have both the book and DVD. She is Australian and is a big promoter of the Law of Attraction. The strange thing is I had heard of the Law of Attraction for the first time about 30 years ago and totally ignored it. I wish I had had a little more on the ball then...lol!
Oh well it is never to late to be who you might have been! Take care and good luck with the soap, let us know when you market, I would love to try it...

  23. I love the way you make things happen Simone. I have those nights where me creativity comes alive but 5 hours later, when I'm up to my eyeballs in school lunches and laundry, they seem to fade away like they were just a dream. Next time I think I'll get up and write/draw them down. Thanks for being so inspiring.

  54. Simone,

Making a dream a reality is always an accomplishment to be celebrated! You are living your passion and inspiring others to do so.

I am enjoying reading your blog. It always amazes me how beaches and properties vary through out the world. I just did a post/pictorial on my shore and the Victorian architecture along it.

I find that every now and then I doubt what I am doing and the ideas I have (I'm sure everyone does!) but you are proof that with some imagination, hard work and determination, you can make anything happen. Good luck with the candles, they look amazing and thank you for continually inspiring me and many others I'm sure. x x x
