I have been working on a few things lately. As if I need more to do! You see sometimes, in the middle of the night, I wake up and can't get back to sleep. I think about things. Creative things. And lately I have been thinking about starting my own range of soaps and candles - under the Beach Vintage label. So I started doing some research, and some more research. And now they are being made. In Australia, by Australians [ I am a little patriotic]. You see I truly believe that if you can imagine something, see it in your mind, the finished object or desire, you can do it. But it all starts with that first thought [and what you do with it]. I hope you have these thoughts. And I hope you work towards making them real.
Wise words from a truly inspirational person.

Oh Simone - what a great inspirational post. Its amazing what you can achieve when you have a dream and act upon it with such determination. You have certainly inspired me (and I'm sure alot of other people too!). I wish you all the best in your new endeavours, and I can't wait for your shop to open so I can plan a little trip to Brissie! I love the wrapping on your soap too - and its great that it is Aussie all the way! Have a wonderful day :)
ReplyDeleteI live by that motto myself Simone...I wanted to start a non profit - so I did the research and stayed up way into the night planning - and 4 years later it's going better than I ever imagined! xxoo :)
ReplyDeleteEven more congratulations. Yes, I have many of those same nights - filled with ideas. I needed a reminder to not only plant the seeds, but to water and tend to them as well. Excited for you!
ReplyDeleteVery excited!! You know the candles in the glass jars that they had in the shop next to H & D they came in a big range of scents...like gardenia and frangapani...when they shut..and before I knew who the fab new shop was going to be haha.. I thought damn because I loved them and they made great gifts..I don't know if you know the ones I mean, anyway...are you going to do candles in fun jars because for some reason I love candles in jars, cheers Katherine xx oh and candles in shells!! See now I am like you thinking about things...very excited for you and your family xx oh and candles in vintage tea cups
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you Simone, and how fantastic to see you take your idea and run with it! Great post - very inspiring! K xx
ReplyDeleteHey me again... I just noticed the Atomic Cafe Add...love it!!! Everyone should check them out, there stuff is FANTASTIC!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Simone and may I say the packaging is superb, it caught my eye right away!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you might have seen "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. I have both the book and DVD. She is Australian and is a big promoter of the Law of Attraction. The strange thing is I had heard of the Law of Attraction for the first time about 30 years ago and totally ignored it. I wish I had had a little more on the ball then...lol!
Oh well it is never to late to be who you might have been! Take care and good luck with the soap, let us know when you market, I would love to try it...

Simone,
ReplyDeleteMaking a dream a reality is always an accomplishment to be celebrated! You are living your passion and inspiring others to do so.
I am enjoying reading your blog. It always amazes me how beaches and properties vary through out the world. I just did a post/pictorial on my shore and the Victorian architecture along it.
