This week I am madly catching up on some sewing projects I have seen in magazines and the like. Here are some cushions I finished this morning. I got the tutorial from the latest "Notebook" magazine [ November]. These cushion covers are dead easy to make! I used vintage fabrics and men's business shirts. No zips required girls! Gotta love that.
Isnt it a great idea!!! I made some a few years back, cant remember where I got it from, but I love your fabrics, gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!
What a happy sight! I would love to come home to those.
ReplyDeleteI only bought my Nov Notebook yesterday and haven't had a chance to sit down and peruse it. Thanks for the heads up about the cushions. I'll be wanting to have a go at those.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Notebook!
Love your blog too!
Fabulous, I love the business shirt bit, great idea! That'll save me having to make my own button holes :) Beautiful fabrics too.

ReplyDeleteThey're looking superb... Another mag I'll have to check out. Have bought one before but not in a while... You've just reminded me. Have just received my Christmas edition of Inside Out in the post. I'm a bit disappointed in it... It feel so dark. Good luck sewing. I'm working on a driftwood Christmas tree for my framers. Pruxxx
ReplyDeleteGreat and colourful looking cushions! I want to make them too! No fabric in the house however, maybe my husband could do without some of his shirts...

Oh they're adorable! I'm afraid I'm not very good with a sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteOh I love those cushions made from men's shirts. I first saw that on Martha Stewart and yes it was a very "good thing". cheers Katherine
ReplyDeleteOk if you call pillows... cushions, what do you call cushions? ( our cushions are the seat of the chair or couch, that is usually attached and upholstered to the furniture. ) Just wondering, you always throw me off with the use of that word. And then I remember, oh yeah!!! she is on the other side of my world! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI have to get my sewing machine in good working order. I have big cushion plans, and I am really liking the no-zipper zone.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
