Went shopping this morning. Prior to this I joined a gym. The guy that signed me up suggested I try a class right then and there! How embarrassing.....I don't even own a pair of sneakers/runners I told him. Better go get some. So my goal was to buy a pair of sports shoes [ I have not exercised for 20 years]. Came home with a new pair of shoes alright. Here they are. And they cost $5! Nothing makes a girl smile more on a rainy day than a new pair of shoes.

Great post, I love it! I too, went to the shops the other day for something else enitrely and came home with two pairs of $5 shoes. And remember...trawling through second-hand shops is exercise too. Theres all the walking around the fixtures and squats to rummage in the under-the-table baskets!

oh good for you, the gym and shoes! a few of us just joined the gym here, we figured instead of getting together eating and drinking perhaps we should get together and exercise as our social occasion! not as young as we used to be!!

Yay! New shoes for $5! Last year I found a pair of Pumas, brand new, my size and pink (I like pink) for $10 and was happy for months! Just wish I hadn't worn them out! Good for you for joining!

Yep, much cuter than boring gym shoes!! They're so sweet. It's a necessary evil getting fit. I am lucky enough to have a friend who is a personal trainer so I train with another friend twice a week. Lazy exercise having someone tell us what to do... Good for the body but mainly the mind... Enjoy. Once you're into it you'll love it. Pxxx
