~ Busy Weekend ~

I was mad keen sewing all weekend. Look at all the pillow covers I made. All done quickly, seams not entirely straight, no zippers just ribbon ties and lots of little mistakes all round. I used bits and pieces, scraps of fabric, vintage tablecloths...whatever! All makes for perfect sewing [my style]. Hope you all had a great weekend. Will show you a picture of my car Wednesday.

  2. Oh my, you got your car! Love the pillow cases. I tried to sew a table runner the other day and made so many mistakes I was kind of sick of the whole affair.

  4. Since I started last week with my third try (in a sewing class) to tackle a sewing machine, I have to say I admire people who do this for fun... Hopefully I will be like you in a couple of weeks, happy and proud!
Love this idea of bits of leftover fabrics and tablecloths, thanks for the idea!

  21. Just beautiful. I tell you, you are gently nudging me to use colour in ways I never knew! My lamps stop my heart every time I lay eyes on them. Did you get my reversal thingy? They gave up on me and totally suspended everything... as I am a money launderer you know... part of the Brisbane 'Underbelly" squad. A-M xx

  35. I had a day making cushions yesterday (I can do a basic straight line on the machine)they are for all of my vintage fairs in April. I love all of the more professionally finished ones that I see but perhaps a wonky seam here and there can be just as appealing to customers?! (I hope so). ;0)
