Take a look what I saw out front this morning.
Actually, every morning when I wake up, I always see something different out front. But one thing that always captures me are the wildlife we see at our place. This morning was just magnificent. I woke to see a family of Kookaburra's sitting in my Poinciana tree. They were playing in the sun. I watched them for awhile whilst drinking my coffee. That's when I knew it was already a great day! Even if nothing else happened all day!

Made me think of an old childhood song. Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry, merry king of the bush is he, laugh kookaburra, laugh kookaburra, gay your life must be. :) thanks. Man, funny how things just pop back at ya.
ReplyDeletewonderful!....but that ocean would would make my day every day!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! We don't have kookaburas here but we do have kingfishers. They look like the kookabura's miniature cousin, with same square shape and sturdy beak. They're very shy birds, though, so I rarely get to see them as close as your kookaburras were. What a lovely sight that must be to wake up to in the mornings. :)
ReplyDeleteSimone..I love the picture you posted with the 2 sweet birds in the tree. You will probably think this is silly, but where I live, I know I had two birds return to my home to have their babies. I called them Tallulah and Beauregard. OK....pick yourself up off the floor and sit back down. I told you it was a silly story. They were doves. And for some reason they just brought grace and joy to my heart. Would you allow me to pin your photo on my Pinterest board? Let me know and I would be honorer to give these 2 sweet birds a place where otheres can enjoy them too. I have a board dedicated to birds.
ReplyDeleteThanks Casey, yes please go ahead. What a lovely story! Simone xx

Oh what a gorgeous view!!It must be sooo hard waking up to views like that, lol. I have to drive past Alma Park Zoo on the way to the shop on a Sunday morning and if I see a peacock on the side of the road I know it is going to be a good day! If I see six of them it is going to be an awesome day!
