The Chair found a home!

Sunrise Sunset

I had a fabulous weekend. I wondered how I was going to sum it up on the blog this morning.

 I decided on using two words and two pictures (which I snapped over the weekend, love my iphone). 

And they are: Sunrise, Sunset.

Project Day: Customer Creations

It's Friday again which means customer creations time.

Can you believe Elisha found these chairs on the side of the road ready for the dump!

She rescued them, got online with us and purchased some Waverly Ellis fabric in turquoise.

What a fantastic result.

And secondly Lynette from FANON Design covered a lamp in our famous Cockatoo fabric, and she selected Turquoise as well.

Room Please?

Spare room. I know you are out there. Please make yourself known. The fabric studio is full upstairs so now we resort to storing new arrivals downstairs.

Out my Front Window

It seems to becoming more frequent. I keep witnessing animal spectacles out my front window.
Remember my Pelican morning?

On the weekend my neighbours were away.

I heard some noises early one morning and came downstairs to see a group of Cockatoo's eating up their passion fruit vine. 

They have put many hours into this plant. It is thriving.

I should have "shooed" them away I guess.

But it was too entertaining at the time.

Project Day - My Fabric Creations

Customer Creations are all about me instead of a customer today as I have moved and am playing around with fabrics and cushions, I am sure they will change but here are a couple of photos of day 1.

I covered my outdoor couch cushions with our outdoor fabric richloom solarium in black and trimmed the edges with corded fabric edged piping. The cushions are gotcha in candy pink and ebony dots on black. 

The green cushion that I absolutely adore on the pink chair is houndstooth chartreuse.

~ Introducing Missy ~

Yes our lives were going along quite nicely in the "dog" department.

 We only have one furry family member left and he is 15 years old , so my husband and I were looking toward some "dog free" time. Maybe just a few years?

Funny how fate comes along and changes your plans.

Due to requests, here is a photo of our newset family member "Missy".

She is a 12 month old Labrador.

A neighbour across the street no longer wanted her as she was "too much".

 "Did we want her"?

I swear no matter where I go, what I do - troubled animals always head my way.

There goes another 12 years!

Note: Every year thousands of pets become "unwanted". With dogs it is usually around 12 months of age when they have outgrown their puppy stage and are no longer considered "cute" by some.

I urge everyone to consider the commitment it takes to raise a pet for life.
