I came across this image from Coastal Living. I just adore this kitchen. It has everything I could dream of. Just take a look at that table for starters. All rough and riddled with imperfections. I have been searching for a table like this for some time now. But it's not just the table is it. What takes your fancy in this room?
I know it's more than the table. The room feels like a warm sea breeze to me..., not hot, just the perfect temperature. Oh, and I relocated my other blog A Beach House Dream to A Beach Lovers Place, I'd be delighted if you joined/followed me there also. This will link you to it.
ReplyDeleteooh this is gorgeous, I love the table as well and all the light pink accents especially the chandelier very unique in a kitchen.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the table! The entire room is perfecto! x
ReplyDeleteWhat i like about this room.. the mainly white background, the glass doors, the rustic faded look of everything giving it a warm, homey feel, the bench at the old weathered table looks very inviting, the cute white shutters, the sweet chandelier with touch of pink, the french flour sack cushion, the timber,, nothing modern, plastic or manufactured. All gorgeous together!
ReplyDeleteIt is all so pretty but the table first and foremost is the eye-catcher, and not just because it stands out from all the beautiful white, but also because it is perfectly imperfect. I love that kind of perfection.
ReplyDeleteTwo other things I covet in that room, the side table (which looks like it might be made from a door?), and the scallop work on it is endearing, the other thing is the white vase with the white tulips.
It's all so Rachel Ashwell/Shabby Chic right down to the pale pink shades on the chandelier.
I also noticed the table right away. But I have to say I love the bench! Seems to friendly and inviting, I want to sit on it!
ReplyDeleteLove the table and the glass-front cabinets. This picture has me pining for a New England getaway.
ReplyDeleteI love that there is just so much to look at. I think it makes it so homey. The table is the best piece though for sure!
ReplyDeleteYou need to rephrase that question! What DOESN'T take my fancy in that room!!!!! It's too darn pretty to cook in though!

ReplyDeleteHello Simone,
ReplyDeleteGood morning from Portugal. it's precisely 8:30 :)))
IMO, this kitchen is simply and absolutely perfect...the tabbe , the couch, I almost can tell the smell of food and an extremely comfortabe sensation.
I think that's it...I love it.
I love the bench seat. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThe table is by far my favourite!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cabinets with windows! But my favorite is the chandelier. We recently added one to our kitchen (from Pottery Barn) and it has made the entire space much more elegant! Now even breakfast is a special occasion :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous kitchen - love the table and the pink chandelier. It all just works so well together - simple yet beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of those rooms where you're not afraid of actually living in since it's not that too-new, too-polished look :)
ReplyDeletegreat pic!
love the table too, and the chair's. loving that cushion!
ReplyDeleteI love the chairs, the cushion, the console table and the chandelier. Is that everything???? x
ReplyDeleteThe bench and the side table, the legs on it are unique..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture Simone, love those pink shades!
ReplyDeleteThe table, immediately, right off the bat. I LOVE that table. I too have been looking for something similar--same kind of distressed wood that I'd like to pain a super light sagey green....
ReplyDeleteBut I also love the fact that they have a bench at the table. And I love how the background is mostly white. I love this. I'm a big fan of white duvet, white walls, white sheer billowing curtains. It makes me feel calm!
Great pic. Thanks for sharing it.
i agree ....beautiful room...i love the white floor...and all the whites that fill those lovely cupboards...ahh and the light....just so so lovely!

ReplyDelete1. I LOVE the table. Something about coastal living makes me think of worn out wood. I love it.
ReplyDelete2. The bench. I have a bench at my dining room table and love it.
I love your blog! Agreed, that kitchen is wonderful and the table is perfectly aged!
ReplyDeleteI adore the chair and crystal chandelier! Take care, Caroline
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this room. The furniture, the way the pink contrasts with the white, the old bottles on the hutch...simply wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe chandelier takes my fancy. It adds an elegance to the space.
ReplyDeletethis is pretty perfect....would love to have a cup of tea in that room!
ReplyDeleteYou know Simone I thought long & hard about what else would take my fancy & I love it all, I want that kitchen!! I could imagine eatting crusty bread with a bowl of hot soup at that rustic table what character, I am off to dream now thanks :)
ReplyDeleteLove this kitchen. LOVE the table and the contrast of the chandelier. Old rustic and delicate features - perfect balance :)
ReplyDeleteLove the chair, the pillows on the bench, and the cupboard.... pretty picture!
ReplyDeleteThe chandelier and the table with the bench as one of the seats makes the room I think. As well as the color scheme!

The whole room is so well put together. But you're right, it's not just the table. I love the built-in sideboard and the pink shades on the chandelier. They're the color of the inside of a seashell.
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous! Loving your blog my friend~
