Hugs to you. I know it is very hard to lose a friend and family member. There is no love like a dogs. My old boy is very old now. I'm sure Truman had a very happy life and was well-loved. He looks like a lovely kind dog. xx
I'm so sorry you've lost your Truman - I'm thinking of you. Lee at Glimpse of Style posted this lovely poem on her blog when she lost her Bilko a few months ago.
We have a secret, you and I that no-one else shall know, for who but I can see you lie each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand before we go to bed and feel the living warmth of you and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths and see ahead of me, your small form racing with the wind so young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim In every brook I pass and when I call, no-one but I can see the bending grass. (Anon)
Oh Simone... how you'll miss that dear, precious, face. What a gorgeous boy Truman was. His spirit is surely beautiful too & will walk beside you always & forever.
oooh Simone, I am so sorry for your loss Trueman looks such a gorgeous doggy, my Bellatrix is crossed with a spaniel. My heart goes out to you, they are so part of the family, I hope your pain will be filled with all the love & happy memories Truman gave you. Elaine :) x
Oh, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I'm sure he's brought you lots of joy, and in the not so distant future, memories of him will also be a joy. I know emotions must be raw now, but soon thinking of him will bring you comfort.
Oh no!!! So sad!!! It´s always so horrible to loose an animal - a few years ago I´ve lost 2 dogs and 1 cat in 2 years...that was such a gruel time...I totaly feel with you! Send you a big hug! Geisslein
Oh no. I'm so sorry Simone. You must be heart broken. My sincerest and deepest apologies. Dogs have a way of finding their way in to our hearts where they set up camp. Before we know it- we love them more than we ever meant to. *hugs*
Hi! I just discovered you site and must comment about your Truman. I take it that your beloved Truman must have passed away. I have had and loved many pets and know what you must be going through. I hope all the wonderful memories you have of Truman will comfort you. Becky
Wow, thanks so much everyone for your kind words. A big thanks to Leigh for sharing that poem. It really made us feel better. Truman had to be put to sleep yesterday here at our home. He had been sick for some time. He died in his favourite armchair. Thanks again so much. Simone xxx
I lost my beautiful Ginger in May so know the depth of your loss. My thought and prayers go out to you. Such a sad time but such a great life dear Truman lived.
If it be I grow frail and weak, And pain should wake me from my sleep Then you must do what must be done for this battle must be won.
You will be sad, I understand Don't let your grief then stay your hand For this day, more than all the rest Your love and friendship, stand the test.
We've had so many happy years What is to come will hold no fears, You'd not want me to suffer so, When the time come, please let me go.
I know in time you too will see It is a kindness you do to me, Although my tail, it's last has waved, From pain and suffered, I've been saved.
Do not grieve that it should be you, Who has to decide this thing to do, We've been so close, we too, these years, Don't let your heart hold any tears. - Hope you feel a little brighter soon Simone. xxxx
