My front door is fairly boring. It's just plain old white. So today I am in love with colourful front doors. They definitely make a statement. A wonderful first impression. It makes me wonder how many people have taken some time to think about their front door/entrance and how it can make such a difference to your home. So I ask you, what colour is your front door?
I just love when a front door stands out..., mine is a light blue reflecting the water way outside..., and it looks great with the cedar shingles that now just started turning silver grey. The pink one is pretty wild.
ReplyDeleteYou know, all of those wonderful colors really peak your curiosity and make me anyway, so curious about what is behind them. My door is white and I would love to have a black door, although I do love the pink one, I don't think my other half would go for it!!
ReplyDeleteHave some fun today!!
Hugs, Nerina :)
Boring white, blahh. But I love the yellow door!
ReplyDeleteI love the top pink door! I want that door and shutters! My door is painted a pretty horrid dark pink/plum colour. I did plan on stripping it back to the original wood (we've done that with a lot of our doors and they look fab) but now I want that top door!
ReplyDeleteps Yes, totally agree with you on Depp! Sigh. He gets better as he gets older, too!
The pink door is divine! My front door is a very ugly brown in dire need of a makeover!x
ReplyDeleteLove the pink door. Somehow I dont think I'd ever be allowed to paint my front door this colour with a man under the roof!!!
ReplyDeleteDamn!..I keep stepping up to a Pink front door, What does this me?
ReplyDeleteI love these and I love your blog! My front door is a dark plum (landlord's choice), but I would love to have a turquoise door or a yellow one like the one above someday.
ReplyDeleteLOVE these, that pink one is SO pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love love love, that pink door and shutters!
ReplyDeletex Amanda
Ours is a sludgy green colour :S
ReplyDeleteBut it's funny you mention doors because my Mum announced that she's going to paint it soon. We were discussing what colour. I love the yellow door above, but I'm not sure if that will go with our red brick London house!?
Well where I live in most planned developments we all have to be uniform.. I have a 12ft front door in dark brown stain, mission style... I do love colored doors. My friend painted hers a barn red!..looks great w/her grey and white cape cod style home.
ReplyDeleteThat pink door is absolutely my fave!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Our front door, farm gate and shed are all dark charcoal - still love it after 8 years. Love the pink door in photo 1 - oh to be so brave! Leigh
ReplyDeletei love that pink door but my husband would never let me get away w/ that. love the yellow one too.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the paint? These pictures make me want to brighten up my front door!!
ReplyDeleteOh mine is white... I would definitely love the pink.... Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteOur front door is blue! Liberty Blue!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little my Aunt Margie lived in a house with a blue door, I always loved it and said when I grew up and had a home of my own my front door would be blue.
When it was stained wood for many years, then a burgundy, and now, finally I got my blue!
I love it!
(But I'm coveting that pink with the pink shutters too!)
i have been thinking about it a lot lately. we are set to buy our first house and i am infatuated with a white house and yellow door. or a gray house with a kelly green door. i can't ge the images out of my mind really. although i am loving the pink door in the first picture! don't think my husband would see the charm though.
ReplyDeleteMine is a sage green, but I'm dying to change it to something bold!
ReplyDeleteAt the risk of being stereotyped...I think I'll have to go with the pink!! ;)
ReplyDelete(I do enjoy seeing a red door too...out in suburbia...you just know the owner is a bit sassy!)
m ^..^
Hi Simone.. mine is boring.. but if I lived in your home.. I would want the pink one!! Julie
ReplyDeleteI loove the pink door!!!
ReplyDeleteMy front door is also white - I don't think my landlord would take kindly to me changing the color. I do love yellow front doors though, they are such a cheerful way to greet visitors to your home.
ReplyDeletehello knock knock... haha... interesting post and cute heading. love your blog and ofcourse the pink door... it looks so sweet and girly.
ReplyDeleteI don't own my home so I don't have a say (booooooooooo to not getting to paint your own door). But the pink door above has me ready to paint my first home's door pink. Is there a color you're considering?
ReplyDeleteMy door is actually a bright blue. It did not come out the color I thought it was going to at all but I LOVE IT!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty pictures. My front door is a boring grey, but if I could have it my way it would either be aqua or a handcrafted silver one...one day!
ReplyDeleteI love the pink one. :)
ReplyDeleteMine is white. I have thought about painting it for 20 years and haven't. I love the blue one in your post though.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have added you to my Summer Reads link list....
ReplyDeleteLove the pink door! Mine, just as yours, is boring white. My favorite is aqua blue because it is supposed to keep the evil spirits out of your house. At one time I did have the aqua door, but since I rent my house now, I will have to wait a bit longer to have one again.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted a colorful front door (so happy and inviting!), but my husband is not into it...so I will have to just dream about the first pink door!
ReplyDeleteHow brave to put yourself out there... with a pink, yellow, or red door. I absolutely love them. They say "Welcome" so proudly.
ReplyDeleteOh wow - that pink door is being pretty gutsy but glad they had the guts cause I {heart} it much-o. Our front door is hunter green - and boring. We have no choice though since we reside in an apartment. Oh well ...

i could give a lot to get that pink one! mine is unfortunately ugly old tree colored, and i can't paint it either.
ReplyDeletei like you, am intrigued by doorways. i love painted doors over stained or glass. mine is painted a robin's egg blue with white trim around the frame. on my front step is a deep red planter with a topiary and a few potted red geranium plants. i was loving red this spring. it is very fun to paint your door a color. :) i love that bright yellow one you featured too.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a red door. There is this church in Georgetown in DC that has fascinated me for ages because if its gorgeous scarlet door!
ReplyDeleteMy front door is red - I'm in love with the pink one (and your blog!!!)!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday - let us know if you paint yours!!!
:-) Robelyn
I love...Love...LOVE the first photo! What a charming front door, I would love to see what's on the other side. Great post Simone!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Karyn
Love the doors. I want to be sitting outside #22, sipping a tea in the wonderfully overgrown yard. Oh how lovely.
ReplyDeleteI have also been contemplating a colour for my front door as it is also white. We are in the middle of renovating our timber-paneled hallway so the door must be next in line... I'm thinking a dirty lime or grey, or maybe a slightly dirty magenta?
ReplyDeleteMy front door used to be a boring cream colour, so I painted it black. I like it much better now!
ReplyDeleteThe pink door in the first image is gorgeous!
Love the yellow door with all the green plants & flowers it's so country, what a happy looking place, I am renting at the moment so not a very exciting door just plain dark brown.
ReplyDeleteHi Simone, I found your blog and I couldn't resist, the chosen images are beautiful. Congratulations for the blog. I'll follow you and then get closer from your news.
ReplyDeleteMy front door is just white...pretty boring too! I really like the first photo of the pink door and those shutters to go with it are just beautiful! Daisy~
ReplyDeleteMine is a dull green, so sad, but it's a rental. I'm currently looking for a house to buy and I can't wait to do something interesting, thanks for the inspiration. I LOVE the pale pink door!
ReplyDeletei love these! mine is blue with a pineapple knocker... though unfortunatly it's covered by an ugly screen.
ReplyDeleteOur front door is a darker green than the rest of the house. I've had white, charcoal and dark maroon front doors as well. But, I have to say that the pink front door you posted is really delicious looking! I've always wanted a door that was a raspberry pink but have never had one. The day will come.

Well I don't have a front door yet, but I had planned painting it white once its built. Might have to put a bit more thought into it now that Ihave seen these pics! Would love to see the rest of the house with the pink door, I just love it... take care, Maryann
ReplyDeleteThe doors are very beautiful. The first one is very sweet!
ReplyDeleteThe doors are so beautiful! The first one is very sweet. Pale pink!
ReplyDeleteI love that pink front door...so vintage and so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the doors, especially the pink one (I don't think I'm alone in thinking that one LOL). My neighbour has a shiny jet black door against a cream coloured house - it looks amazing and totally transforms the front of the house.
ReplyDeleteAnother pink door fan here.
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy pink.
:-)
I love them all, the yellow is so adorable!!
