Pencils can be so boring sometimes. Here's what you can do to change it. You will need:
- Vintage fabric scraps cut into thin strips (I used a scrap from a vintage tablecloth).
- Lead pencils (round ones work best).
- Craft glue.
Cover each lead pencil with a coating of glue (spray adhesive works best I found). Hold the pencil by the lead end. Starting at the bottom end of the pencil start attaching your fabric strips by winding them around and around making sure the glue is holding it in place. Doesn't matter if you run short, just grab another fabric strip and keep winding where you left off until the entire pencil is covered. Trim any excess fraying with nail scissors or leave the frayed edge for an extra shabby look. Easy
peasy, took 10 minutes and now I have nice looking pencils. Have a wonderful love filled weekend everyone. Talk next week. Simone xx
