Yesterday I got some roses from my local rose farm. I usually go for pinks or reds but I decided these looked so pretty. Then I started noticing this colour was already a favourite at home. Funny how your subconscious works.
Yellow is such a bright, happy color! And yellow roses are my favorite flower (well, my second favorite actually, my favorite is pink tulips!), and I love how you displayed the yellow roses in the blue vase, such a pretty combination! You found some wonderful treasures on ebay, you lucky girl! Enjoy! All the best, Eileen
Gorgeous how you float them in a cup..., and there's a lovely cloche with seashells too!!! I have to go back to apartment therapy and look at your house again!
mmmm so pretty. It is funny because over here in Canada we are going into fall so I feel like I get to enjoy "it all" when I go to the blogs from the other side of the world where spring is in the air.
All of these yellows are so cheerful and bright! I've discovered that I collect things this way. I bring home a treasure and start gathering things to display with it and then think...hmmm...I think I'm collecting these! :-)
hi Simone...funny thing is I have never been a yellow person.... EXCEPT...& my ONE big exception is/are SUNFLOWERS....I LOVE THEM..& plant them every summmer (well not soo much now with the drought in vic)..
BUT hubby bought me yellow roses for anniv in july..& have dried them out..still hanging in my bedroom...& i love them...even dried up!! love your yellow goodies... MMM..may have to get some yellow dye!!!
Yellow roses are my favorite! That is the flower we used in our wedding...33 years ago. How nice it must be to have a rose farm where you can cut your own flowers! Those duckies are adorable!!! Jane (Artfully Graced)
yellow is one of my fave go to colors for a little splash of happy. Those roses are just gorgeous, you definitely remind me to bring a little nature indoors. I did a similar post a while back on yellow if you are interested : http://sealaura.blogspot.com/2009/04/and-it-was-all-yellow.html

Those duck measuring cups are too cute! I always said "red" when asked my favorite color, but when I look around my home I find I tend to surround us in warm oranges and greens.... Hmmm.
I love yellow! Especially combined with blue/turquoise.
