Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was to busy junking around at my local haunts for treasure. Before I knew it the sun was going down. Along with loads of other things, I found this beautiful Arnotts Biscuit Tin and some jumbo Vintage Rose Coasters. I have no idea what I am going to do with them. I am just a sucker for anything with roses on it.
Don't forget to visit Amanda's Beautiful Blog Swish and Swanky today to see a tour of my daughter's bedroom. Thanks Amanda!
What lovely finds - I wouldn't have been able to resist those either!
ReplyDeleteNice finds!
ReplyDelete...I'm thinking you ought to make some color copies of these images and use them for collage, and decoupage projects.
Oh this so remind me of a tin my gran use to have...she kept all her old b&w photos in there. It was just like this with roses on it..more faded and with scratches on it ofcourse.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that is what you should do, store photos or magazine clippings in it. :)

ReplyDeletelove!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your daughters room on Swish & Swanky! You've done such a great job.
ReplyDeleteHi Simone!
ReplyDeleteI have just found your blog and love your style!
I live on the north side of brissy :)
That biscuit tin is just like the bikky tin we had growing up... it brought back a momentary waft of nostalgia :)
I haven't been garage saling for a couple of months now and am finding myself having withdrawal symptoms ... will remedy that soon!
I was thinking about your coasters .... you know how you get those magnetic rubber advertising cards ( where the whole thing is magnetized?)... you could hotglue one of them onto each coaster and not only will you see them on the fridge, but you'll always have a coaster handy :) .. orrr ... you could use one as the base, and with the other four, you could put those little hinges you can get at spotlight or scrapbooking stores and hinge them into a square fencelike structure, then hotglue it onto the base and you have a little rose box!
Anyway ... better go... and thanku for your lovely blog!
Kindest Wishes
Marina
Hi Simone- I know I have been commenting on your blog a lot this week ( making up for lost time) but I could not pass this post by! This Arnotts biscuit tin brought such a tear to my eye! That same design tin used to be my pencil tin at my Nan's house while I was growing up. So many wonderful & treasured memories for me....Thanks so much for the sentimental trip down memory lane XX
