Here are a few things I picked up on my recent shopping spree in Northern N.S.W. These are my favourite places to shop if you are ever in the area:
- Bangalow: Heaths Collectables - OMG amazing place is full of rare and quirky collectables. I picked up these spare set of vintage sunbeam beaters [for my precious one] for $10. They are so so hard to find! So happy. Lazybones Emporium - Fabulous dresses and vintage finds. I could stay here all day. I love Bangalow!
- Ballina: I was to find that Ballina has been named Op Shop Capital of Northern NSW with 11 thrift stores in town. I visited most of them. My favourites were the ADRA shop & Vinnies. I picked up this amazing hand stitched bed throw [pictured above] at Vinnies & the vintage sheets were $3.00!
I often ask myself why I am so in love with shopping around like I do. I know I am not alone in my quest for all things vintage. Meanwhile I am planning my next trip, beach side somewhere of course.
WHOA! Sweet! I love the quilt and lovely fabric in image 3 :)

I will have to remember to stop in Balina, on my next road trip!

ReplyDeleteHi Simone- nice to have you back- one of my fave little links to Australia...I loooove Bangalow- always wished we'd bought a house we saw there when i was pregnant with our first daughter 12 years ago- three kids later and living in a big old house in a village in England- i can still feel the excitement i had when walking into this old weatherboard 'shack' behind Byron! And i adore the quilt- that has to be an old time one in a life time find from the picture- in gorgeous colours & condition! HAve a last few beach days for us- or does autumn never hit queensland?!
