It's no secret I love florals. And it's no secret I like to collect vintage floral paintings and prints. It doesn't matter what sort. So I decided to decorate my spare bedroom wall with some of them this week.
- The secret to this is to use different sized prints. If the frames don't match that's even better! Most of my pieces were picked up for a few dollars each at thrift stores.
- Trace around each frame on a piece of paper and stick the paper on the walls so you can arrange them how you would like.
- Whilst the paper is still up, nail your hook in [ this will make sure they all line up and are centered].
- Remove the paper from the walls and hang your pictures up.
This method of hanging is so easy to do and bypasses the need for any measuring with tapes and the like. I can't stand all that.
Boy what a week. Next week I can share some of my exciting news with you so please stay tuned! Meanwhile enjoy your weekend. Simone xx

ReplyDeleteIt looks great. It certainly finishes the space.
ReplyDeleteI never find any decent pictures at my op shops and even the ugly, faded prints are vastly overpriced.
These look great! They way you hang them is great too. I hang exhibitions for my job and mostly I just do it by eye (I've hung a couple of hundred exhibitions!) but for a display like yours that's so ingenious!

ReplyDeleteI don't like things to match perfectly -- so your little display is a nice eclectic mix that is tied together because of the flower theme. Love the pillows on the bed too. Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend. :) Tammy
