Snippets from around my home this morning. The weekend had me cutting and plucking flowers all over the place in my garden. Over sized foliage looks fabulous in a simple glass vase. Just cut some leaves off a big tree or bush, whatever you have. And of course my Frangipani's are in full swing once again. Pretty blooms for a pretty day. Happy Monday.
Nothing says spring...or summer...like hibiscus.
ReplyDeleteOurs are flashing their skirts brilliantly at the moment and are adorning our home too.

I've found that frangipani just wilts in a vase. Does this happen to you? I saw "Kangaroo paws" for the first time yesterday. Absolutely beautiful Aussie native flowers!
ReplyDeleteI miss Townsville for all the frangipanis in summer, the trees grew like weeds on the side of the road everywhere in all different colours, I was never short of frangi's in summer.
ReplyDeleteFrangipani's and their smell are summer personified. Love the hibiscus in that cute vase. They make me think of Bali and a zen state of being. :) x
ReplyDeleteis it hibiscus in the first pics? if yes, then that our national flower :D but your's is soooo big, our's here are much smaller compared to the one in your pic.
ReplyDeleteHappy monday to you too Simone, I will just think of your lovely frangipani in bloom and wonder why mine are not, I think we pruned them too hard. x
ReplyDeleteAlways a delight to see your posts! So full of colour and joy!

Just a bloom & a leaf from the yard add so much... so much nicer than store bought flowers, imo. BTW, I met a girl who named her cats Frangi & Pani :-)

They look so fresh Simone. I adore Hibiscus flowers. They come in the most incredible shades don't they. They're underrated I think! Your lucky you have your frangipani flowers already. They haven't hit our garden yet. Pruxxx

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! I'm missing my summer flowers so thank you for the ray of sunshine on a Monday :O)
ReplyDeleteHibiscus flowers are one of my favorites. According to the language of flowers, hibiscus means: "Delicate beauty,
ReplyDeleteSweet disposition"
