Well I am going to buy myself a vintage car. It will be my third. I have owned and sold [with utter sadness] the previous two. But this year is my year. Now it's time again. This is the last time. This one will be with me forever. And this is the beauty I have my eye on. She is a 1960 Holden FB Station Wagon. And she has my name written all over it. Don't you think?
COOL! Go for it - definitely!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable!!! I want a vintage car so bad. I'm having a giveaway to celebrate Spring Break...make sure to head over and enter! Kori xoxo

Without a doubt Simone!
ReplyDeleteShe's the ultimate car, stylish but with great functionality.
Of course the colour is a winner too.
Good luck, I hope that you're successful,
Felicity x
Very cute! We have done the same with vintage cars. Our last was a large white merc and it was amazing. The trick is to pay a bit more and get one in really good condition mechanically. And then speak to those in the know and get a good mechanic that specialises in vintage. My dream is a Valient Safari stationwagon. Hope you decide to go for it! cheers Katherine
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful car... go for it! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my good gravy! I want one in yellow!!! Go for it and keep it!
ReplyDeleteLiz
Hi Simone, I think she's a beauty.. even if she is a Holden.. as I've been brainwashed to be a Ford follower by hubby!lol! I'm really not into cars but there is something just so beautiful and classical about vintage cars. Hubby has had a few in his days too and at present has a Ford XY which we take out on special occasions only!! My neighbour has one like yours or similar but a sedan and is grey and pink and I just love it.. more than my hubby's car! I say go for it! take care, Maryann
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely she's yours! Go for it...she reminds me of my house..I call her my grand old lady..'cos I feel she's earned it and we just caretake her, not own her. I think the car is the same..I wonder how many owners she's had and how many kids have played on her back seat! You will be a wonderful caretaker owner of this beauty.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I so love the car! So awesome. Thanks for visiting my blog too!
ReplyDeleteoh, i think it's definitely a 'must have'.

That is a fabulous car! Go for it! xxoo :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love it!!! My husband is a big fan of vintage cars, mostly the sporty kind though, but me..., I like them large and stately, just like this blue beauty.
ReplyDeleteJust vinatge perfect!!!
ReplyDeleteGo for it...
I can just imagine a few Beach Vintage cushions in the backseat, a picnic basket in the trunk and the wind in your hair as you head to the sea.
ReplyDeleteWow! That brings back memories of our family car, brand new in 1958. It was a station wagon to fit in the 5 kids, front bench seat and it was blue too. Not 2-toned however. Just gorgeous- go for it!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely you should if for no other reason than it's such a pretty colour ;)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo!!! How exciting! Love the colour :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! I also want to find myself a vintage beauty.... along with many other vintage things. lol
ReplyDeleteOMG Simone, how could you not? She is an absolute beauty....I can easily see myself driving around in her :)

Yes do Buy it.Someone has to have a car they want. I so have been wanting a 1954 Holden ute it would do me just fine.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I love it that it's a station wagon. When I was a kid...my parents had a pink 57 chevy his grandfather left him and he fixed up. I thought it was so cool. I still remember the way it smelled inside. A smell I haven't smelled since. My father sold it about 10 years ago to a man that collected. He never drove it any more and hated to see it just sit.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute. I love the baby blue shade. My great-grandmother had a vintage red car from the 1950s and I used to love riding around in it.
ReplyDeleteI get all gushy when I see these beauties, my first car was an EK 61 Holden Station wagon, two tone Aqua Blue and my second an EK 62 Holden, Venetian Red with Pearl White roof and matching velour interior she was BEAUTIFUL!!! I would love to have another, but once you have air con and power stirring it's hard to go back:)
ReplyDeleteMy hubbie was very envious....and to spot the number plate as our own home state...I think he is wishing he could go and search it out for himself.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a Holden, but I love the way she looks, especially that color!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
no doubts! that is a beautiful car & so perfectly "beach vintage!" just needs a vibrant surf board stowed in the back or on top!

ReplyDeleteAh, that brings back memories! However, now that I'm ancient, give me an air-conditioned, non gas guzzling small car (easy to park) with air bags and good suspension! Not as romantic but infinitely more comfortable! Robin.
