Today I really want to take my vintage car for a spin, but I have so much work to do I am snowed under at my desk. If I can make it out I wish I had the time to look like this. But I will be lucky to get out in my tracksuit pants and sneakers.
Yes its that time of year. This year it seems to have gone just that little bit faster. Maybe you need to reward yourself and get out even if you are in your tracky pants. xx Katherine
Oh sweet. I missed your original post about the car. My ex was big into EKs and I attended quite a few National meetups with him. Met a lot of cool people...and a lot of weird people!
Your post reminded me and made me miss my bright red 1960 Morris Minor. It made driving fun, unfortunately we sold him when we had our first child. Love that image. Sarah
Do half of your work.. take the old gal our for a spin.. and finish the other half when you return. Sounds good time me. Have a great day Simone.. don't work to hard.
Is she really "shooting the bird", "flipping us off" in a very vogue way I guess. You would never do that in your car. Just sayin... with polka dot gloves no less. I would love to have any part of her outfit!
I tried to post yesterday - but it didn't seem to work so I'll try again :)
I love a good frock, I love the gloves, bag, hat combination. It was real fashion, it was real glamour.
There was no botox, no fillers, no lip enhancements, no boob lifts (well padded bras maybe). but get what I am on about.
Now I know you would look lovely in your trackies and sneakers - I hear you - unfortunately if we went to do a school pick-up dressed like the lady in the photo - I think we would get a look or two.
But anyway, anytime you wish to go for a cruise in your vintage car and we can make believe - I'll be your passenger (I'm not too far from your shop - over the water!)
Simone, this is a lovely pic! Enjoy your walk when you can... you have inspired so many of us. xo xo

ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous - I'd love to look like that every day! (well not at the beach).
But~ how long did it take our 'sisters' of yesteryear to get ready.
The lippy, the gloves, the matching handbag to shoes etc. The hats!
Oh I love the hats!

ReplyDeleteI'm sure you look just as glam in your track suit pants! Even a quick trip out for a take away coffee would satisfy the urge... :)
ReplyDelete*smile* It's that gorgeous car of yours. It inspires rides with the windows down :)
ReplyDeleteThat would be one cute car to go spinning in.....xv
