The Simple Life!

There is something to be said about the simple life. With a world full of political turmoil and financial collapse its nice just to go the beach and share a day with friends, play scrabble, fish(my lovely friends daughter caught the fish), sing to the music and just enjoy life away from all the drama and glitz and glamour. Well that was my Sunday which was fabulous I hope you have a great week ahead. Happy Monday x

Project Day : Bunny Lamps

How cute are these lamps? I covered the shades of some ceramic bunny lamps this week. They are finished now and I am ever so pleased with them. I used Ozbourne Village Blue fabric and some white pom pom fringe. I was first thinking of these for a children's room but now I am thinking of myself. I can't resist those ears!

Morning Coffee

Just took this photo about 10 minutes ago. The good old self timer worked OK I guess. I balanced it on the rocks. It's such a beautiful morning I decided to have my coffee on the ramp out front of the house. Lot's to do this week, can you see me thinking away?

Zig Zag everywhere!

I found this amazing picture of a zig zag missoni inspired room over at update dallas I am in love with everything zig zag at the moment and this rooms sums it up nicely I love the lampshade and the cushions the whole thing really. Sunday Lunch & Decorating Forum

Had lunch with some friends yesterday. What else would you serve for a seaside lunch on a beautiful summer Sunday? Lot's of fresh Australian Seafood and salad that's what!
Of course I set the table with some Mexican Oilcloth in Mums Pink, (love this stuff as it doesn't fray! Just cut and go) and lot's of champagne.

This week Beach Vintage is being featured on The Decorating Forum.
Great place to chat, learn and get inspired about all things interior. They also have some great recipes and meal planning ideas. Love that.

I say yes you can!
This hot pink pom pom scarf was on the sale rack at Kmart for $5 this week.
I had no idea what I was going to do with it but I bought it.
Then yesterday I saw this cane lantern on sale for $20.
It all came together then!
I had these cushions made up from a vintage tablecloth I found in Ulmarra last year.
Wa La.

Project Day: Studio Curtain

A busy week. We had some special visitors from a national magazine. We cannot reveal anything yet, but we will soon. V Exciting.
So we had to make a special curtain for the occasion!
Using the patchwork method we sewed a whole heap of our fabric (in pre-cut squares) together.
Then some floral opened edged lace trim from an op shop in Mullumbimby came in handy for the top encasement for the curtain rod. Easy peasy.
After a few hems & pressing it was done.
