I love vintage because everything has a story and you can carry that into your home
ReplyDeleteI love things tht have a story of which you will probably be a small part. I like to wonder and the families that have owned these pieces before. It's also practical with children!
ReplyDeleteI love vintage because it transmits me feelings, and makes me dream..... the vintage things makes me feel good!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity!!
I love vintage because I currently live in Germany and there are so many great vintage stores and fleas to visit. My blog is centered around vintage and it's pretty obvious if you ever stop by!

I love vintage because every thing seems to have a bit of history on each element and good energy with this story. I love the warmth, love the colors, love the feeling of comfort. Makes you feel cozy and warm!
ReplyDeleteFirst, it is fun to say the word vintage. Sounds like a foreign language rolling off your tongue. Second, I love history and vintage to me has a story to tell. Third, we have become a throw away society. I try to repurpose and reuse any way I can. I hope it reflects on my children and those around me to treasure old things. Hey, one day that will be me. Actually, I heard once that when something is fifty years old it is considered an antique. Gosh, that is me! Thanks Beach Vintage for allowing us to see things in a different way.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage because of the memories its invokes.. I have my Grandma's vintage pinking shears! and they're in the original box..Her sewing basket which is priceless.. Vintage styles never die out, they always are around no matter what may be trendy at the moment. Vintage= Classic.
ReplyDeleteOlder is generally better made and carries the love and life of it's past. As a person who dislikes mass consumerism vintage provides a sustainable and quirky difference.
ReplyDeleteI love the styles, the colors, especially the buttons and fabrics!

I love vintage furniture and style as it is one of a kind, not mass produced, re purposed with love and so so kind to the environment, my local Tip store is my new weekly visit and I am stunned at the purchases to be found, "Pickers heaven" just a a few hints on what to do with my treasures would go a long way, I would love a copy of New Vintage 2nd edition. Cheers Kathryn
ReplyDeleteVintage pieces have such character, beauty and quality workmanship that you just don't find with new furniture. I love using Vintage in my home because I like to know I have given something old a new purpose ..a new life!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you can mix and match vintage things to go with your own unique style!
ReplyDeleteI love vintage because it reminds me of the things I saw in my grandparents' house when I was a child.
ReplyDeleteVintage reminds me of a past time and place.
ReplyDeleteI always wonder what the story is behind the
item I have picked up.
:)
A vintage piece is already in my heart even before i see it sometimes. Part of my past, part of me!
ReplyDeleteA lot of the vintage in my home came from my Grandma's. This is how I love to keep her memory alive, even down to her favorite kitchen knife which I use every day.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's the thrill of the hunt and finding something fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh I have the first book. It's great. Vintage gives character to your home. It's not that I don't like designer's work it's just that it's a bit matchy matchy. Vintage interiors are a more interesting mix of styles, colours, and textures. You want to pick things up and touch them, remembering where you found it, or wondering who it belonged to. They have a story.
ReplyDeleteIts unique, special and one of a kind. You can walk into a room knowing no one else will be wearing what you are wearing or will have the same nic-nacs as you at home.

Vintage is keeping us connected to the past in more ways than one - with style, with precious memories and also tugs on our hear strings. It takes us back to a gentle time in our lives-we all need that.
ReplyDeleteYahooooo....would adore to win this book! Vintage to me is never boring and uniquely fun...a blast from the past but with a new twist!

I love vintage in my home because of the nostalgia attached to cherished items that speak to my heart. My vintage treasures are so meaningful, from my Dad's chipped gravy boat that he gave to his mother when he was 5 years old, to nanas old linens and the old 1930's vintage cupboard. The craftsmanship in these old pieces re-ignites old love affairs with objects from my childhood. A happy home.
ReplyDelete"Vintage", for me, is like a good wine – old, smooth and totally irresistible! :D
ReplyDeleteVintage for me is like a good wine - smooth, mellow and beautifully aged! HEART.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage for the memories they evoke and the principle of recycle, recycle!!
ReplyDeleteVintage items have stories to tell. I love looking at a vintage piece and imagining where it has come from, where it has been and who has owned it and loved it before me. I could spend hours making up stories for each of my vintage pieces. Thankfully I know the true story of most of my vintage collections, so only a few pieces have a make-believe history. It's all part of the fun of acquiring and owning vintage.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage: the past in the present time!!♥ The old style in the moderne life, isn'it beautiful? Oh yes!
